The Orchestra for Talented Youth (OTY) was first organized in the Oyster Bay area of Long Island, New York, in 2002.

OTY offers talented and dedicated young musicians an outstanding opportunity for growth. It provides a stimulating, high quality musical experience, with varied repertoire and emphasis on ensemble skills. The members, in interacting with their peers from a variety of backgrounds, benefit musically from one another while making new friends in the process.

Additionally, we believe community services participation provides our members an opportunity to share their passion and musical talents with people who are less accessible or less fortunate. These experiences could be inspiring and rewarding and eventually enlighten their lives down the road.

What Is New

OTY rehearsals will begin in September 17 ( Saturday) at 4:30 PM Location: Oyster Community Center for String Group and First Presbyterian Church for Chamber Group.

Members who have not completed the registration, please contact us by e mail :otymusic@yahoo.com or call us at 516-503-6276 for registration information. If you decide not to join the orchestra this year, please let us know.

Dear OTY parents and students,

As you may be aware, this year we are entering our 10th season as a youth orchestra. The plan is to work to make it a truly a special year - possibly including a reunion performance, at one point, welcoming back former members, as well as special repertoire and guest artists.

However, we really need your help right now: In order to plan for this special season, we need for you to return your registration as soon as possible. I know there is a lot going on this time of year, but please take a minute to get your registration off to us. ***SPECIAL OFFER: ANYONE REGISTERING BY EMAIL BY SEPT.7 WILL RECEIVE A $25 DISCOUNT***
